Have a mere 24 hours to spend in the captivating hill station that is Ella? While it may be impossible to enjoy all the riches the area has to offer, it is possible to experience some of the area’s finest highlights and activities on a short trip.

Next up, visit the Adisham Bungalow and take a guided tour around this former monastery run by monks. Don’t forget to pick up some strawberries before making a stop at the Allewala Waterfall where visitors can enjoy a pre-lunch dip and splash around in the serene atmosphere surrounding the cascade. Stop by the Ceylon Tea Factory for lunch and dig into some curd and treacle at the Curd Shop in town.

Spend the afternoon trekking across the Demodara Rail hiking trail and take in the views of this one of a kind overpass. Wind down at the Chill Cafe with a slice of pizza and spend the evening listening to music and soaking up the lively atmosphere of this popular local hangout before calling it a night.
